Overview
The incident timeline shows the progression of an incident from detection to resolution. Use it to understand what happened and when.
Timeline events
- Started: When the first failure was detected
- Notifications sent: When alerts were dispatched
- Acknowledged: When someone began investigating (if applicable)
- Resolved: When the monitor recovered
Duration tracking
Checkmate calculates incident duration from the first failed check to the first successful check after the incident. This appears in both the timeline and incident summary.
